Prices for Autumn 2005 are $50 each for bare rooted plants plus $10 postage.

Species

Delaveyii This easy to grow species produces a bush to 1.25m with dainty orange to black-red anemone like flowers.
Lutea Small bright yellow flower - which added yellowtones to the hybrids when crossed with P.Suffruticosa.

French Hybrids

Alice Harding (Kinko) Hybrid. Double ruffled bright lemon yellow flowers with yellow stamens. Low growing Vigorous, fragrant. A must for beginners.
Flambeau Orange - red double - late.
Kinshi (Chromatella) Very double large yellow flowers with carmine edged petals. Vigorous, but with drooping flowers. Mildly fragrant. Sport of Souvenir de Maxim Cornu.
L'Espereance (Kintei) Very large full double yelowbase suffused with orange red. (Kinshi is a sport of this cultivar.)
Souvenir de Maxim Cornu (Kinkaku) Very double large yellow flowers with carmine edged petals. Vigorous, but with drooping flowers. Mildly fragrant.

Australian Named Peonies

Destiny Large white single flowers with purple flares
Etienne de France Full double pink / lilac
Rimpo Single purple with black flares.

NB These names are only used in Australia - you will find no international references to them with the exception of the real Rimpo, which I have imported from Japan. It is a a double stunning purple, but will not be available for another 2 years.

Lutea Hybrids

After further international research it appears that the term Lutea Hybrid should be used for the group of hybrids that were formerly known by the breeders's name (eg Saunders, Nassos Daphnis etc.)

Age of Gold Hybrid. Upright double yellow flowers with reddish centre. Flowers have fluted petals.
Argosy Hybrid. Upright medium single yellow.
Black Panther Hybrid. Full double dark red flowers.
Chinese Dragon Hybrid. Semi-double crimson purple.
Happy Days Blended creamy peach.
Kronos Hybrid. Crimson black-red semi-double.
Marchioness Hybrid. Few layers of apricot petals fading to golden yellow. Slightly wavy with raspberry red flares. Green carpels with pink stigma and pale lilac sheath mid season 90 cms.
Thunderbolt Hybrid. It is a single, deep crimson bloom with a centre of yellow stamen.
Vesuvian Cardinal red double flowers with numerous petals. Hybrid. Flowers look like large flowers of P.delavayi (one of its parents) Stamens are few, with pale yellow anthers and short red filaments. Carpels, pale green with purple crozier shaped stigma. Midseason. To 75cms.
