Paoenia Mascula
This example shows Paeonia Mascula which is a clump-forming
perennial. This varity has shiny, bright foliage and dark red stems. Flowers
in late spring to early summer. The single purple-red or rose-red flowers (and
occassionally white) with golden-yellow antlers on purple filaments. The seeds split
to reveal purple-black seeds. Grows to around 1m high and covers about a 1m area.
